Hi Ethan's Mom:

This program is really good if you take it seriously. I have lost 30 lbs once with it and I didn't do the exercise. But....I didnt keep it up and gained the weight back.

Now I am in week 3 and I have lost about 6 lbs. I am doing the exercise this time as I am 55 years old and my metabolism has slowed down (disappeared seems to be more like it). It has been slower for me this time but perhap because I am building muscle at the same time.

Good luck to you.

Hi Dhallen1, thanks for the reply ! Im now on week 3 too and have lost 2 kgs on my second week ( 1 kg / week ). I feel more active and didnt get tired easily. However, I fell off the wagon this weekend as we have a family party. The good news is I could resist all the chocolate dessert ( my favorite !!! ) and rice / potatoes, however I had food with lots of soy sauce, some deepfried prawns and some high fat contents meat. I dont know if I need to stick on week 3 eating guidelines Confused ? Hope you are finishing all the 6 weeks smoothly ! Keep writing ! Wink

Hi posters,

Good to hear of your loss, Ethan's Mom. Hope you're continuing on the plan and have lost more.

I was on this plan last year - lost 10 lbs. and have kept that off. So, I'm beginning anew to lose more.

Keep on posting. If we help each other, we help ourselves!

Hi E's Mom,

Congratulations on your weight loss! I'm from the US dealing with pounds - so if I'm calculating right, do your Kgs. weight convert to around 15 lbs.? That's great! Glad to hear you're continuing. I'm returning back on Week 1 (somewhat!) I did have some chocolate and ice cream this week, so didn't lose any pounds, but did lose about 3" overall. So, something is working!

Make sure you measure as well as weigh in. You'll really notice the difference. I keep a food and measurement journal, and recently went over old notes. It was amazing to see the ups and downs over the past few years (unfortunately, for each down, there was an up that followed closely behind - that's why I'm back. Confused )

Keep on posting!

I'm not done reading the book. I know I am supposed to read the book first, but I couldn't wait. I started on my supplements (fishoil, magnesium, etc) last night and just started the diet today.

I went shopping yesterday and bought tons of veggies, fruit, nuts, fish, and chicken.

I'm glad to see there are still people posting to this site. The site is up, but I don't see any posts by the administrator for quite a while.

Any support is welcome. I really need to lose weight. I seem to be in a cycle of lose and gain and I really need to keep it off. I'm in my 50's and it's getting harder to lose. I know I can do it if I just stick to the plan. My problem is sweets, so I hope I lose the craving for it.

Hi everyone!

It's good to hear successes, keep posting them!

I am still 'dieting' although it feels weird to call it dieting now, this is just the way I eat now, and hopefully always will do. I haven't gone back to wheat/grains or dairy (not in a big way), as I find they upset my stomach and make me lethargic. In total I have lost 17ibs, and have dropped 2 dress sizes, and probably have another stone to go, although to be honest I am quite happy where I am at the moment.

Good luck to everyone.

Sparkle, I would definitely read the book, it motivated me a great deal, when I feel the will slipping I go back and read it again. I had a sweet tooth too, but it's pretty much gone now. Occasionally when I feel the need for sweetness I have melon, or if feeling really naughty, a coconut macaroon. Try fruit and nuts with a drizzle of agave if you fancy something sweet.

Best
x

Hi everyone, good to hear from you ! Im now on week 9. During week 7 I didnt loose a pound as I had "cheat days" for couple of nights. Now I continue to loose 1 kg / week and feel great. My waist has been down from 90cm ( W1 ) to 76 cm. However this week I've added some weight training 3X a week and sprint run 3X a week on top of my 30 minutes exercise. I wish to get rid of my belly & hip fat due to pregnancy and tighten my tight. This program is really work, as long as we are consistent with the eating guidelines & exercise. Hope to hear from all of you !

Hi all,

Wow, Ethan's Mom, I was really impressed with your results. That's a huge decrease in your waist measurements. I bet you look great!

I am still in the process of reading the book. I know she tells you to read it first, but I've read so many diet/healthy eating books and I never seem to put them into practice. I have been following the eating program for only 2 days, however, I notice a difference already.

I am not as hungry as I was and I am not craving sweets. I have been eating fruit and enjoying it, which is a first for me. I have never been a big fruit eater. I also had microwaved carrots last night with some lemon on it with fish and the carrots were really good tasting. I couldn't even finish my portion of fish, which is unusual for me.

I guess time will tell whether this will last or not. I am committed to follow this plan for 6 weeks minimum. I'm hoping it turns into a new way of eating for me permanently!
