I just started the diet today and I am using a site to log my daily food intake. According to my BMR, my daily calorie intake should be 1,350 calories a day and about 24 grams of fat per day. I was shocked to see that today I consumed over 400 calories over my allowed calorie intake and tomorrow, the intake once again would be at least 462 calories over my allowed intake . On top of that my fat intake would be 98 grams tomorrow again. This accounts for about half of the calories coming from fat!!! . What am I missing here I am just terrified this diet would make me fat I am confused |

Hi T,
I have to ask you point blank-- did you actually read the book?
Everything about this program flies in the face of conventional wisdom and that is the sole reason it actually WORKS.
Perhaps you skimmed the book and weren't paying close attention to the science behind the diet and exercise theories. I could respond to your concerns but all my comments would be plagiarized directly from book chapters. Please consider re-reading-- and paying closer attention to why low fat diets contradict human physiology and don't work, and how the fats you will be eating on this program have actually been shown to combat insulin resistance and increase fat burning, and why counting calories doesn't work, and how the exercise program doesn't just burn a few calories while you are doing it-- but, instead, it literally makes your body burn fat FOR THE NEXT 48 HOURS.
REMEMBER: CONTRARY TO POPULAR BELIEF, YOUR BODY DOES NOT BEHAVE LIKE A BANK ACCOUNT INTO WHICH YOU CAN DEPOSIT AND WITHDRAW CALORIES FOR A PREDICTIBLE OUTOME! THAT IS WHY DIETS DO NOT WORK!!!
I promise, it is all explained in the book!
If you need support and reassurances from some of the people who are currently experiencing success with the program, I urge you to participate in one or more of the open forums.
Best Wishes,
Chris |
